Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Ram ProMaster City vehicles. The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module may have internal damage, which could result in a loss of braking performance or autonomous braking functions.
Remedy
FCA US, LLC will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ABS module, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin April 28, 2021. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403.
Notes
Owners are encouraged to contact management at BigRigVIN if they have any questions regarding this, or any other recall. Management at BigRigVIN strongly recommends that owners not drive the vehicle until repairs are performed, if autonomous or traditional braking functions are not possible, as the likelihood of a crash, bodily injury, death, or property damage increases. If possible, have the vehicle towed to your nearest dealer after scheduling an appointment to have the recall performed. Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
